Aaaah, what a wonderful song this is, ‘Chasing Pavements’. Just heard it in a coffeeshop the other day and was searching to find out who it was when I suddenly heard it at MTV again. Yess! Adele it is and I can just keep on playing this song forever, it becomes better and better every time I hear it. Love her voice and the refrain is just wonderful!
That’s why I put it here on my blog so I can easily play it whenever I want! Love it, love it, love it!
Update: While I am at it I just need to post this ‘Apologize’ video as well which is one of my all time favorites. Reminds me of the great time I had in Norway with family and friends. So if I said I am in love with ‘Chasing Pavements’, then I am married to this song! Thinking of this friend of mine, Linn, who had it as a ring tone on her phone and said: “Yeah, just call me, call me, call me!” Too bad there’s not any ‘Loop’ button so I could play them over and over and over again. One of my favorite bands ever. My love for them started when I was 8 years back in end of the seventies. I lived on Svalbard where there were no music stores, no nothing so my kind uncle used to send me these old school cassette tapes with various rock tunes and among them Led Zeppelin. He had basically taped ‘Coda’ for me with ‘Black Dog’, ‘Rock and Roll’, ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘The Battle of Evermore’ and I remember I had to turn the cassette during ‘Four Sticks’. Used to do it real fast, completely hooked on Led Zeppelin.
I even traveled with the train for 3 days, all the way from the north of Norway to Roskilde in Denemark only to see Page and Plant playing at the Roskilde festival back in ‘95. Awesome concert it was. Few years after that it became a bit silent from them so I hardly could believe my luck when I heard that they were back together again! One gig in London where the promoter claimed that one million people registered for fewer than 20,000 available tickets… Yeah, I also tried but with no luck.
I just totally think that Led Zeppelin needs a world tour right now. How many millions of gazillions fans out there are eagerly awaiting for this! I know I am!
While I am waiting I treated myself on these 3 cool T-shirts from the Led Zeppelin store, can’t wait till they arrive!
Don’t you just love the Chemical Brothers? I know I do! Always innovative and coming up with that new beat. And now they are out with a new tune, “The Salmon Dance”.
My husband showed it to our kids of 2 and 5 years and they LOVE it! Reminds them of “Finding Nemo”. Our son of 2 years is just shouting “Mama, fishes! FISHES, MAMA!” and so we have to play this video over and over and over and over again… But I don’t mind because it’s a really cute video, see for yourself!
