Last night my man stumbled upon these awesome photos from Carl Warner and I just need to share them with you. Aren’t they cute? Whole landscapes made by food and food only! Haven’t seen anything like this before, über creative and very original.
A broccoli forest with mountains of bread, so fresh and clean. I love these broccoli trees!
And this pink sea of smoked salmon? Great!
This fishing boat struggling in a sea of cabbage, it’s just awesome…

Yesterday, it was 40 years ago since Che was executed and became the legend he still is today. Sad that such a brilliant mind and not to mention handsome man had to leave us so early. I mean, I can just stare at this picture forever… He is so hot!
Think the picture above must be the #1 printed mugshot on a T-shirt ever. I do in fact have one myself which I love. I love Che and may his memory live on forever! Viva La Revolucion!
Look at these cute signs I see every time I go outside of my house here. I just had to take a photo of them, only seen 3 different ones, but I am sure there are plenty more of them out there somewhere.
I specially like the one claiming “I never trashed your house”. Funny thing is that the sign is placed just outside of where we place the garbage in the street. (Yep, that’s how they do it here in Amsterdam, you have to place your garbage in the street on specific places and they come to pick it up twice a week)
Anyway, nice to see some fresh street art just outside of my casa.
Inspired by my very good friend Nina in Norway which is showing us Street Art from Oslo on her blog, I now am on the look out for Amsterdam Street Art. Here is a nice piece from a walk we had with the family around the Museum Plein, where all the museums are located. Looked like the devil and I thought he was real cool so here he is living on my blog.
I swear I would never waste any space writing about that irrelevant Paris Hilton chick, unless my man Banksy would punk her! Banksy’s political and humorous stencil art has just amazed me, so simple and yet so powerful. He is notorious for his secretive and subversive stunts such as sneaking doctored versions of classic paintings into major art galleries.
This time he chose to punk Paris. He replaced 500 of Hilton’s CD’s in 48 record shops across the UK with his own remixes and gave them titles such as Why am I Famous?, What Have I Done? and What Am I For? He also changed pictures of her on the CD sleeve displaying her topless and with her own dog’s head.
Yeah, I am the lucky winner of this beautiful piece of art! My long time friend and one of the best artists I know, Nina Klausen had a Fancy Smancy Contest on her new blog. The first person who could link the right picture with the right mood-option would win. Friends and family were not allowed to participate but that didn’t stop me!
After thinking long and hard I submitted my answers and low and behold - I WON! Never mind I had 50% of the answers wrong. But who cares? It’s all about the winning! It had nothing to do with that there were no other participants in the contest!
Finally had some luck, feels good! I will buy a nice frame and put it beside the other painting I have from Nina, which she painted for me for my birthday last year.
And since you didn’t win anything, you can still buy her art on her website. Thank you Nina, thank you!
