Test your web design in different browsers
Do you remember back in the old days when you were developing a site and how difficult it was to test your design? I used to send out e-mails to everybody and pray that my design worked in all of their browsers… And if not, we were sending e-mails back and forward till it finally worked. Luckily those days are now over!
I just stumbled upon browsershots, a great site where you just add the URL of your developing site, submit it and voila! your job will be added to the job queue where a number of distributed computers will open your website in their browser to create screenshots and upload them to the central server. All you have to do is to reload the very same page.
Was fiddling around with CSS the other day and had some minor problems, submitted the URL to browsershots and had a whole bunch of screenshots in less than 5 min! Saved me a lot of time and it’s great to be 100% sure that your site is working in all browsers and on all platforms.
