Was back in the north of Norway where I had the pleasure of checking out the pub Inferno. I was very curious to go there since I made the logo for them last summer when they opened up shop. Pleasantly surprised to see the big ass sign outside of the pub and that the people working there were all wearing black T-shirts with mine and the Mack beer logo on it. Got myself one which I happily am wearing back in Amsterdam.
Had a jolly good time, meeting loads of friends from when I was living there, top of the cake was to see Elements, a local band playing only Deep Purple songs. Was singing on ‘Smoke on the Water’ for 3 days afterwards, tune was just got stuck in my head.
So if you are looking for a job in exotic Finnsnes, Inferno is hiring people! (I had nothing to do with the site, made by a local chickie)

One of my favorite bands ever. My love for them started when I was 8 years back in end of the seventies. I lived on Svalbard where there were no music stores, no nothing so my kind uncle used to send me these old school cassette tapes with various rock tunes and among them Led Zeppelin. He had basically taped ‘Coda’ for me with ‘Black Dog’, ‘Rock and Roll’, ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘The Battle of Evermore’ and I remember I had to turn the cassette during ‘Four Sticks’. Used to do it real fast, completely hooked on Led Zeppelin.
I even traveled with the train for 3 days, all the way from the north of Norway to Roskilde in Denemark only to see Page and Plant playing at the Roskilde festival back in ‘95. Awesome concert it was. Few years after that it became a bit silent from them so I hardly could believe my luck when I heard that they were back together again! One gig in London where the promoter claimed that one million people registered for fewer than 20,000 available tickets… Yeah, I also tried but with no luck.
I just totally think that Led Zeppelin needs a world tour right now. How many millions of gazillions fans out there are eagerly awaiting for this! I know I am!
While I am waiting I treated myself on these 3 cool T-shirts from the Led Zeppelin store, can’t wait till they arrive!
